Fields of intervention: architecture, landscape design & interior design
This private residential project is located within an area of parkland just a few kilometers from Lake Geneva in Switzerland. The plot was partitioned to realize three matching but mirrored villas to ensure the utmost intimacy and privacy.
The architecture unfolds over three floors and is made up of pure and overlapping volumes. The ground floor in cement is characterized by large retractable windows that establish a constant dialogue between the interior spaces and the private garden, while a lightwell brings daylight into the lower ground floor. The top floor is instead defined by the archetypal form of the pitched roof in dark wood, forming a kind of telescope that projects over the garden.
The interiors make use of fair-faced concrete in accordance with Swiss tradition and combine with various warmer elements expressed through the furnishings and the wood-faced doors and cabinets.
