The Spanish company Viccarbe recently presented the new collection of Perxa chairs designed by Piero Lissoni.
Perxa is a stackable chair with arms and back in ash wood and legs in tubular metal. A particular feature of this project is the degree to which the technical limitations have been elevated to allow different forms and materials to be connected together, enabling the realization of an object that is elegant with gentle proportions and also functional and suited to any context.
The name of the chair was inspired by an unassuming object that is part of the Valencian tradition: perxa is a punting pole used on boats navigating the tranquil waters of the La Albufera national park, a freshwater lagoon that is rich in biodiversity.
